Ball Bearings

Since its foundation back in 1951, NMB-Minebea has been manufacturing high-precision miniature and instrument ball bearings. With plants in Japan, Singapore, Thailand and the USA, NMB-Minebea is the world’s largest manufacturer of miniature ball bearings. Renowned companies throughout the world rely on NMB ball bearings.

NMB standard ball bearings (Pelmec) have proven to be universally suitable. NMB-Minebea manufactures them in large quantities as series ball bearings in a separate plant erected especially for that purpose.

Measuring instruments of all types, electrical motors, equipment and appliances, small motors, aerospace technology, computer peripheral systems, general mechanical engineering, tape recording equipment, office machines, etc.

Assemblies (upon request)  

Complete assemblies and ball bearing systems are available upon request. Our application engineers will be glad to provide application engineering support. 

Materials 

NMB ball bearings can be made from bearing steel (SAE 52100 / material no. 1.3505) or from a corrosion-proof stainless steel developed by NMB-Minebea, which is classified as belonging to the 400 series (similar to AISI 440C), but features considerably improved characteristics in regards to running noise. 

Lubricants

Our ball bearings are available for all standard lubricants.  

Noise Testing

All NMB ball bearings are noise tested (100% noise testing on both sides) and can be supplied in a variety of classes depending on their application. 

Tolerances

NMB ball bearings can be delivered in accordance with the different ISO standards (DIN 620) and AFBMA standards (ABEC 1 – ABEC 9). 

Radial Clearance Classes

All of our ball bearings are available in all standard radial clearance classes. 

Available Variants

A selection of the miniature ball bearings listed on this website is also available with rubber sealing washers (both contact and non-contact types) and Teflon washers. Upon request, a wider inner ring, a reinforced exterior ring or a complete assembly can also be supplied.
